虽然我们在中文里的说法是“吃药”，但实际上，吃药一般是温水送服，和需要咀嚼的吃饭可不一样。而英语中的eat，指的是带有chew（咀嚼）行为的吃。所以吃药不能用eat medicine。我们可以用take medicine或者have medicine来表达。

Break one's neck 单从字面上看，是弄断一个人的脖子。实际上，break one's neck 作为常用语，指的是人尽最大努力来完成一项工作，或者是用最快的速度赶到一个地方去。
